In 843 AD the first Scottish King Kenneth McAlpin unites the Pict and Scot

empires to become the Kingdom of Alba.

400 years later Edward I, also known as the “Hammer of the Scots” engulfed

the land in a great feud. It was not long before Edward I controlled most

of Scotland. The Scots, led by William Wallace and Robert the Bruce, are left

to fight what seems to be a futile war for freedom. This is the time when

legends are born…

The use of the very latest techniques and hardware makes Highland Warriors

one of the most state-of-the-art and technically sophisticated real-time

strategy games available on the market!

* The ATLAS engine also allows for the characters/units in the game to consist

of up to 8,000 and the buildings of up to 1,700 polygons. At the same time

the very authentic 3D environment remains freely rotatable and fully zoomable.

* The change of seasons during the course of a mission opens up entirely new

strategical means never experienced before! For example, crossing a mountain

range during wintertime can take a great deal of effort and cause substantial

delays. Some ridges might even be impassable making it difficult if not impossible

to keep the supply lines open or to build a bridgehead on hostile territory.

And since farming yields normally drop to zero in winter the population will

have to find other sources of food ...

* The 30 immersive single player missions are portioned out to four nations,

each one of them calling for a brand new strategy! How about conquering rival

About 80 movie sequences will sweeten your victories and relieve you from the

pain of a defeat. Apart from a lavishly produced intro exhilarating in game films

will set on the exciting story.

* An epic story brings many historical folk heroes from the time around 850 until

1315 AD on your screen - joined in of course by important figures like William

Wallace (well known from the movie Braveheart) or Robert the Bruce, who wasn't

just as popular as his predecessor Wallace, but still put the fear of God into

the Englishmen.

* Encounter intelligent adversaries!

The AI is based on a highly developed expert system and won't make things easy

even for experienced players. Play at a difficulty level of your choice to face an

equal opponent.
