BB Media is seeking an expert programmer with in-depth knowledge of relational databases, programming and web technology. This individual will be responsible for developing and maintaining core functionality for a rapidly growing web-based business. We are searching for an innovative programmer with exceptional skills to implement industry-leading marketing tactics into an already successful e-commerce website.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Lead developer

Design and develop complex web applications

Design and build interfaces to the web

Maintain the highest levels of security for sensitive data

Build and maintain CRM and intranet applications

Import/Export data

Implement coding standards

Develop test plans and scripts

Optimize existing code

Database tuning to take advantage of code optimization

 

Required Skills:

Expert level experience with programming languages and open source databases

2+ years PHP, MySQL, JavaScript

2+ years experience authoring and maintaining e-commerce applications with an in-depth understanding of internet marketing practices

2+ years HTML/CSS experience building dynamic web pages

2+ years experience with Apache and Linux

Experience with data modeling/structured development methodologies

Experience developing application in the internet space and working understanding of HTTP, HTTPS, DNS and TCP/IP

Implement security control for web applications

Self-motivated, reliable and hard working, with critical thinking skills and knowledge of web application theory

Exceptional time management skills

Exceptional planning and organizational skills

Excellent communication skills with a collaborative approach

 

Other Desired Skills:

This position requires an individual with the ability to communicate, collaborate, and coexist with other developers and designers. The ability work with and advance an existing code base is an absolute must. A knowledge of Apache/Unix server administration is preferred.

 

You must show proof of your experience with the required skills and share examples of code you have written.
